She has extensive experience in coaching and human resource management, including executive, leadership and team coaching and development; transition coaching and consulting; and the development of strategic human resource services and programs.
Michelle also has over twenty years of senior experience in the field of Human Resources both within organizations and as a consultant. Her career has included work within a variety of sectors, including health care, colleges and universities, the Arts and private sector, as well as work with two international consulting firms. She has held various positions including Director of Human Resources for the Grand River Hospital and the Stratford Festival, and Chair of Continuing Education Hospitality & Tourism at George Brown College. As a consultant, Michelle has operated a successful coaching and consulting practice working with Canadian and international clients, as well as held senior career consultant positions for Right Management Consultants and Verity International. Additional areas of expertise include human resource system and process integration; design and execution of merger planning processes; organizational change management; mediation, facilitation and negotiation; human resource program design and implementation; and training & development.
As a certified Coach, Michelle has a strong belief in the power, creativity and resourcefulness of individuals and teams; and in the value the coaching process has in supporting achievement of potential and goals. She received her training and certification through Adler International Learning/Ontario Institute for Studies in Education/University of Toronto and has also been certified by the International Coach Federation. Michelle has completed the Organization and Systems Relationship Coaching Program, the Shadow Coach Advanced Coach training and is certified in multiple leadership development methodologies.
Michelle is a member of the Human Resources Professionals Association of Ontario, the Grand Valley Human Resources Professionals Association, the International Coach Federation and International Coach Federation Greater Toronto Area Chapter.
