Focus 2040 was a competition challenging students in business faculties across Canada to describe the world of work in the year 2040.  Participants predicted the future as they imagine it will be – the worker, the organization and the processes that bring these two together – and then supported their predictions.  The most imaginative, creative and compelling predictions won.

Jeanette Jones will detail Maple Leaf Foods’ decisive action plan in managing its response to the Listeriosis crisis in the summer of 2008.  Jeanette will share what guided the Company’s response to the Listeria outbreak and recalling products, including its entrenched corporate values.  Areas to be covered include accepting responsibility and being accountable, focusing on the facts, public education and clear and candid communications.

Jeanette Jones joined Maple Leaf Foods in June 2003 as Director of Communications.  Since joining the Company, she has been actively engaged in supporting communication initiatives at the corporate level as well as across the business units.
