Fighting To End Hunger!

Verity & SCNetwork Support Local Daily Bread Food Bank

The Strategic Capability Network (www.scnetwork.ca) and Verity International Limited partner on many initiatives, including a career transition group which meets weekly to discuss career strategy and share experiences and expertise. These individuals differentiate themselves in the business world, and recently voted to champion their commitment to change, positive attitude, energy and passion by volunteering with the Daily Bread Food Bank. Daily Bread Food Bank is fighting to end hunger in communities across the Greater Toronto Area.

As the hub of the food bank community in Toronto, Daily Bread supports over 160 member agencies in running different kinds of food relief programs. The agencies run neighbourhood food banks where people come to access food hampers, as well as meal programs where people can access prepared meals such as soups or casseroles.

This "Partnership of Action" between Verity and SCNetwork resulted in a spirited, rewarding and very successful afternoon at the Daily Bread Food bank in support of building stronger communities and contributing to the culture that has made Ontario a model for the world.

Donating their energy in this great initiative and representing their respective organizations were Ezra Rosen, Chairperson and Member, SCNetwork, Mireille Landry, Vice President, Business Development and Jessica Riddell, Administrative Receptionist, Verity International, Limited.
