Robin Long knows people, and she knows business. An experienced Chartered Accountant and Psychometrist, Robin provides Verity’s clients with in-depth psychometric assessments and development plans that focus on the individual’s career and future business success.

Robin has an extensive background in talent and executive assessment in a variety of industries with a special emphasis on the particular skills required in the professional, financial services and broadcasting sectors.

Robin has lead and managed a specialized testing and assessment center for senior executives where she provided a wide range of services including personality, motivational and aptitude tests, vocation-related counseling, structured interviews and feedback sessions and other assignments for a wide range of clients.

Robin’s expertise has been sought by Employee Assistance Programs to provide assessment information to individuals using the MBTI and the Jackson Vocational Interest Inventory.

She also has considerable experience in the not-for-profit sector including assignments with the YMCA Career Development Department, Sheena’s Place, J.V.S. and others.

Prior to entering the professional Human Resources field, Robin worked as a Chartered Accountant at major firms including PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP, where she developed an insider’s view as to what makes a business successful.

Robin earned her Bachelor of Business Administration and Honours Psychology degrees at York University and a Masters of Education degree (Counselling Psychology) at Ontario Institute for Studies in Education (University of Toronto). She earned her Chartered Accountancy designation following her graduation from York University’s Schulich School of Business.

She has in-depth experience using and interpreting a variety of assessment instruments including the Occupational Personality Questionnaire, the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator, the Critical Reasoning Test Battery, the Watson Glaser Critical Thinking Appraisal, the Motivational Questionnaire and a wide variety of leading edge assessment instruments.
